DreamAway South is located on a dead end road directly across from the beach and has excellent beach access, almost right across the street. The home is located in a nice neighborhood adjacent to Surf City and is close to restaurants and stores. This is a luxury home with hardwood and tile floors and granite countertops throughout. There are four covered porches and one balcony, three of these have beautiful ocean views.
The house has all the modern amenities - smart TVs in four of the bedrooms and the living room and wireless internet access throughout. This is a single family home which shares one wall with the immediate adjacent home as you can see in the pictures. Our home is closer to the ocean access and has unimpeded ocean views, as you can see from the pictures.
On the ground floor, there is ample parking for six vehicles. There is an elevator which goes to the first and second floors - enabling you to transport luggage and groceries easily throughout the house. The ground floor also has a hot/cold shower for washing off after you come in from the beach!
Traveling up to the first floor, you will find three bedrooms and a laundry room.
The first bedroom faces the ocean and has a private deck, private bathroom with a bath/shower combination and a king bed. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom - which has a double sink and separate toilet/shower room. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with one double and one twin and a separate twin bed and is perfect for kids. The third bedroom has a queen bed and ample space to spread out. This room also includes a bookcase with many wonderful books if you need something to read on the beach! All the bedrooms on this floor have large closets for storage. The first and third bedrooms have televisions. The laundry room has an extra large washer and dryer and a sink, perfect for washing shells (or a small/medium dog)!
The second floor includes a gourmet kitchen - complete with granite countertops, kitchen island and separate bar area. Extra small appliances are included--crock pot, Kitchenaid mixer, Cuisinart, toaster, blender--and several coffee pots. The dining table easily seats 8 and there is an extra leaf which can be added to increase the seating to 10. There is are two stools on the island and four on the bar.
The living room is immediately adjacent to the kitchen and includes a large television which is internet capable which you can use to access your Hulu, Netflix and Amazon accounts. The living room has a couch, loveseat, two swivel chairs, one stand alone chair. We have a large collection of DVDs, CD's and games for you to enjoy! A deck is off the living room for great ocean views.
There is a half bath on this floor easily accessed from the living room. The fourth bedroom includes a queen bed and large closet. This room has access to a private deck and large bathroom with double sink and large soaking tub.
The third floor is one large bedroom with a large bathroom with shower and television of course. This room has a king bed and private balcony where you can enjoy the amazing ocean views. This room also has a living area which includes a sofa with queen bed, coffee table, recliner and rocking chair - providing an additional space for a small group to relax.
We are pet friendly and have a dog that comes to the beach with us from time to time! If you wish to bring your pet there is a $100 (per pet) non-refundable pet fee. You are able to walk dogs on the beach at any time. Maximum 3 dogs allowed at the house. All dogs must be at least one year of age, be fully house broken, up to date on all shots and must have had flea treatment within 30 days of the guests check in date.

Fresh linens & bath towels are provided by a linen service. A required linen fee applies. Beds are not made prior to arrival. We do not provide beach towels.
We make sure there is toilet paper in each bathroom, and bags in the trash cans to start you off. We provide an amenity starter package with a roll of paper towels, two rolls of toilet paper, small bottles of dish soap, hand soap, lotion, etc., and coffee packet for one pot. We do not provide enough of these amenities for your entire stay.

Our house was purchased new in May of 2015 by my family after selling a house in the North Carolina mountains (too far away from our home in Eastern North Carolina). My mom retired from directing a nonprofit for 26 years and my dad was an attorney.
Why the Owner Chose North Topsail Beach:
We all wanted to be close to the beach, 5 bedrooms, and an elevator. We love Topsail Island as it is 2 hours from our home and has lots of good restaurants. It is also "family friendly" and not crowded.

We love to sit on the porch with family and friends and look at the beautiful ocean views. We are also at a dead-end street which is very nice because we get very little traffic. We enjoy hearing the sounds of the ocean at night. I love to cook and enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with Cuisinart, blender and Kitchen Aid stand mixer--and a crock pot! Since we live in a 100+ year old house, new is very nice!

The house is located on a dead end street which significantly cuts down on traffic. Three local bars (The Brass Pelican, Hulas, and Margaritas) are within walking distance at about a quarter mile. The location is about halfway between both bridges onto the island, the high-rise bridge from Sneads Ferry and the swing bridge from Holly Ridge / Surf City, which can cut down on your time getting on and off the island (there is usually much less traffic coming over the high-rise). Restaurants and shops are about 3.5 miles down the island in Surf City.
Other Amenities
Check in is at 4:00 pm. A code to enter the house will be sent prior to the date of the rental. In addition, a key to the outside doors and the elevator will be left in the kitchen. A word of warning! If you arrive after dark, do not let the statue of "Precious" frighten you. She is at the top of the stairs coming up to the second floor. She is a larger than life size figure of a buxom blond in a red bathing suit. My husband's acquisition.....

My daughters, their families, my sister, husband, 2 pups and I visited July 2021. We had a great time. The home was exactly as described. Everyone enjoyed having their own space. We all enjoyed the main living area, front decks and the beach! The property manager quickly responded when needed and even offered tips on where to get the freshest seafood. We all hope to visit again!

Owners are excellent hosts, very easy to communicate with. Super, quiet space with wonderful views and location.
A friend and I spent a few days enjoying the open, bright space sewing/quilting. The holiday weekend was fantastic. We didn't have to leave the house to watch fireworks displays all around us. Front porch was just right for rocking, sipping, and catching the breeze from the ocean. Just a few steps away we were on the beach soaking up the rays. Even a tropical storm didn't hamper this vacation!
I've rented several places on Topsail Island and this one has, by far, the best equipped kitchen ever!!! The elevator was a godsend for my elderly mother, as well as getting food and clothing from the ground floor. Cannot wait to stay again next year if possible!!!

We had two families staying in the house and were very happy with the proximity to the beach - only one house between us and the beach and the cleanliness and comfort of the house. Topsail Island itself is a bit lacking in creature comforts, but some people may enjoy that it's still undeveloped.
