Caught ten fish! My husband and I had an awesome experience staying at Linda's cottage. From the moment she gave us the keys and showed us around we felt right at home. We were really impressed with the special touches which included fresh flowers, dog bones and homemade birthday cake bites for my husbands 40th birthday! This is what vrbo is supposed to be before every property became so impersonal and managed by rental companies. Additionally, the property is beautiful. We loved sitting in the creek, walking the beautiful, well maintained trails with our dog and fishing in the pond... my husband caught 10 fish and was super happy! Also, the cottage is so dog friendly... so much that she provides sheets for the furniture so if they do get on, it's no big deal. And last, our dog had an absolute blast, especially swimming in the creek. Do not hesitate to stay here. We wish we would have stayed the whole week!

Bright spacious cottage! Our 11 days here were a wonderful blessing! This bright, spacious cottage was meticulously clean; beautifully furnished, with an oh-so-comfy bed and linens; tastefully decorated; wonderfully equipped and perfectly organized. The grounds - secluded, serene and quiet except for the sounds of sweet birds visiting the feeders and the creek’s never-ending symphony; lovely natural landscaping with a lush moss carpet and wild flowers; and incredible, private walking paths through the surrounding meadow acres, around the ponds, and along the tree-shaded creek. Our cottage-time - we were lazy in the screened porch and sunroom, and next to the water and fire-pit. We puzzled; read; prayed together; played games; prepared yummy meals in the cooks-kitchen and on the grill. We explored country roads framed by mountains - overlooking farmlands, creeks, and rivers. Our National Forest ride to Lake Nantahala - amazing! We hiked and hiked, including an Appalachian Trail segment! Our senior Labrador enjoyed the less-strenuous paths at Clay County Park, the Lake Chatuge Recreation Area, and the Little Tennessee River Greenway. We took-in the Brasstown Bald views; and enjoyed the John Campbell Folk School, Craft Shop, gardens and walking-paths. We thank our incredible hosts, Linda and Jorge for their passionate guest service commitment which we experienced from our 1st inquiry; as we were personally welcomed upon our arrival; and throughout our entire stay. We can't wait to return.

Gill's Cove Cottage was everything the description said it would be and so much more. Mrs. Linda met us upon arrival and showed us around the home and went over where everything was located. We arrived a little later than planned but she was so accommodating. I was so impressed with how clean the property was from the get go. Definitely the cleanest vacation home I have stayed in. We enjoyed the creek and the trails attached to the property so much. We have 3 wild boys and there was plenty of things to keep them busy!

This place was a perfect piece of paradise for our family of 3 and our dog! We were looking to get away from the business of life living near Myrtle Beach and we couldn’t have asked for better! This place had everything we needed and then some! We were surprised with hospitality gifts for all including a treat bag for our dog! I loved the vases of wild flowers from the property placed on the counter and in the bathrooms! The creek provided peace and fun for all from floating on a tube (which was perfect for my 5 year old), soaking in the cold water, wading around, fishing, or just letting the sights and sounds of nature lift all the stress away! The property also has lovely walking trails alongside the creek, around the large pond, and to another hidden pond in the woods. Lots of animals to see and the Mountain View’s from the pond are breathtaking! We hated to leave and will definitely be returning!

While driving up into the property, Ms. Linda was waiting on us to give us the key and show us around. As soon as you hit the driveway, you feel at peace. The home and property are immaculate, very light and airy. Such beautiful natural light all throughout the house. Furniture nice and comfy. A few mornings I would go walking before everyone else in the house would wake - it was magnificent, seeing and hearing all the wonderful sounds. Hearing the stream flowing, the families of geese, birds chirping and seeing the deer roaming the fields....it was something I was truly in awe of. In the evening, my son and I would love to go to the pond and fish. After fishing we would go through the trails into the woods and walk about the creek and look for rocks and things. He enjoyed himself! Our family is already planning on coming back. ❤️
