our new mountain home away from home!

Gili's Cove Cottage is our new mountain home away from home! It is a neat and comfortable house, well-equipped with all the necessities, and it sits right by a serene and peaceful mountain creek. We had excellent communication with Linda, the host, from the moment we booked, and when we arrived, we found small special touches that made it feel like arriving home (treats for humans and fur-babies waiting on the table, fresh cut flowers in vases, fresh fruit). We've stayed at many a mountain cabin, but this was by far the best experience we've had - at no point did we feel like we were "roughing" it. On the contrary, the kitchen contains high-quality pots and pans and cooking tools, there are books and games and movies for entertaining, but the best part by far is the enclosed porch with comfortable seating for eating and relaxing while overlooking the stream. This treasure is truly a perfect mountain getaway for those seeking serenity and peace. I cannot speak highly enough of Linda or Gili's Cove Cottage!!!

Great experience!

Everything was more than I expected. The house was spotless and fully equipped. Linda was waiting for us and gave us lots of reccomendations. It was definitely a great opportunity for our family to rest and get away from the city for a few days. I would to come back Somme other time

Favorite Getaway

We have enjoyed 2 visits to this cottage and have already scheduled a 3rd. I am a bit OCD about cleanliness and this beautiful creekside get away is by far the cleanest we have ever rented. Every item is of high quality from the sheets and towels to the glasses. The screened porch is the big draw for us. It is large, comfortable and the perfect spot for enjoying the sounds of the creek. We even caught a few good size fish in the pond just across the creek. This is the perfect spot for a long weekend retreat.

Very nice accommodations

This rental has everything I was looking for. The area is very beautiful and quiet. I will definitely be back.

Our Home Away From Home

Just spent another 5 weeks at Gili's. It is the home we always wanted in NC but with out the headaches of having two homes. It really is magical to us and our dog Abby. We come, unpack, and make believe we live here and it's always so hard to come back home to Florida. But our grandbabies are down there so coming to Gili's is the next best thing to living here. Besides, where else could we find a creek AND a pond AND a hideaway like Gili's. It's one of a kind. This year, I sent my hubby home after our stay and I stayed on to enjoy a writer's retreat with my writing group ladies who came up from Florida. We had 4 action packed days of enjoying the area, creek, cooking yummy meals and sharing our stories around the campfire at night. Owners, Linda and Jorge are the perfect hosts and always make sure we have everything we need. So even though I want to say, "You'll hate it here. Go somewhere else," there really isn't any place better than Gili's or their other rental home, Blackwell Branch.
