My family was long overdue for some time away from the routine. I needed a place where I could totally cease the rush and pressure of life and Myleen and the children needed fun things to do. This was the perfect place to meet all of our needs. The family played in the creek, enjoyed evening campfires, canoed and fished in the pond. I simply rested. I can not wait to return for a longer period of time. Thanks Linda for sharing this wonderful oasis with our family.

If I would give this property 6 stars, I would! We arrived to an immaculate home and could immediately hear the rushing waters of the creek just behind it. Linda (the owner) swung by to greet us was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The cottage truly was very well stocked, not only with things like pots, pans, towels, etc, but also the little things like a sewing kit and first aide kit, fishing poles, firewood and more. There was even a bowl of fresh fruit on the counter, fresh cut flowers and a very lovely greeting gift with goodies. Amazing! Our kids, 12 and 8, spent HOURS playing in the large creek, fishing and canoeing in the pond. Linda let us know about a short (mowed) trail that took us a bit further down the creek, where the kids could sit in their tubes and do some "mini-tubing" as we called it. It was a highlight of the trip for them! Kids also enjoyed feeding the neighbors, Roscoe the donkey and his buddy the bull, just a short walk away. And then, of course, there was roasting hotdogs and making s'mores over the creekside firepit. Hayesville is a lovely, quaint little town and there is a ridiculous amount of fun things to do, all within about an hour....tubing, U-Pick farms, lakes, Tallulah Gorge, the Appalachian Trail.....too much to list. If you are on the fence about renting, GO FOR IT! You won't regret it. My kids are already asking when we are going back. Thank you Linda and Jorge for sharing your amazing property with us!! We found and stayed at Gili's Cove Cottage last year in July. Once again we returned and spent a relaxing week at the cottage. As stated in previous comments, the cottage is immaculate, the home setting is beautiful, and basic items needed are supplied. There was a bowl of fresh fruit on the table, fresh cut hydrangeas, and a cute Hayesville mug with treats and a birthday balloon on the counter. Yes, Linda remembered once again that I had a birthday to celebrate while we were there. We enjoyed our time in Hayesville with family and friends, saw fireworks, explored area waterfalls, fishing in the pond and creek beside the house, and more. Linda and her husband are excellent hosts and I would highly recommend a stay at their cottage if you are looking for a relaxing and restful vacation.

We searched online for several weeks before deciding our destination for our vacation. We came across Gilli's Cove Cottage and the description sounded wonderful and just what we were looking for. When we arrived the owner was there to meet us and showed us the cottage and we were very impressed!
Everything was absolutely immaculate and the home was beautiful in it's setting with the creek running right behind the house. We enjoyed fishing in the creek and in the pond that is also located on the property. We spent evenings in the lovely glassed in sunroom while we cooked on the grill. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly for a beautiful and restful vacation.

My two daughters and a friend just got back from a long weekend stay at this AMAZING place. This house is the cleanest rental that I have ever stayed in (I have booked over 30 VRBOs in the past few years). The homeowners were extremely informative and responsive to my booking questions and helping us secure this house on such short notice! EVERYTHING in the house was extremely well organized/clean/tidy. Linda had fresh flowers for us along with some nice treats on the table and a yummy bowl of fruit. Everything one would need for cooking is there along with some basic condiments, spices, paper products, foil, dish detergent, etc. I have never seen a place so well "equipped" and stocked. So don't worry if you have forgotten something because Linda has definitely thought of it for you and has it at the house!!!! I am hoping that we can rent again sometime this year! We had a wonderful time. The only thing that could have make it better was if we could have stayed longer!
