My wife and I are the proud parents of 5 children. We live here in the beautiful upstate of South Carolina. This is the best place to live and vacation near mountains and lakes, hiking, and all the excitement of Clemson University. We would love to share our part of the country with you.

This cabin is well suited for seeing all the great attractions of the upstate. Close to Table Rock, Jones Gap, Ceasar's head. It is a short drive to many of the great water falls in Upstate SC.
If you want to peace and quiet, we have that also. you can rest all day on the great decks listening to the river gently roll
This property is great for relaxing and getting away without going far. It is easy to get to and you won't want to leave when you do. I bought this property because it is so peaceful. The cabin is also close to many great state parks and other recreation areas

From the moment we walked in the front door we knew we found something special. Met by the wood interior, our eyes were immediately drawn to the wall size picture window in the dining room. Drawn to that side of the house, we were greeted by the view of the river and the back yard. Our usual exploration of the property interior was put aside and we headed for the screened porch and out to the water. We were greeted by the sounds of the river, the peacefulness of the setting and the appreciation of how nicely the structure was integrated into the setting. With a tasteful rustic feel the property was far from rustic. All the modern conveniences one would expect seamlessly blended with the feel. Though we had considered plans out our first night we quickly changed our minds and settled in for the evening. A relaxing session in the hot tub and a nice dinner in the dining room overlooking the river melded into a night of board games and popcorn.
Centrally located between Table Rock State Park and Caesar's Head State Park the location couldn't have been more perfect. Always fun, we started at Long Shoals State Park where you can slide down a long section of the rock river bottom into a large natural pool at it's end. Looking for a waterfall but not necessarily a long hike? Try Twin Falls! Not exactly easy to find, an easy 1/4 mile walk is all it takes to get there from the parking lot and you arrive almost at the base of the falls, often the only people there. We can not visit this area of the state without visiting Symmes Chapel, also known as Pretty Place. Gaze out upon the panoramic view of the foothills and valleys, take a few minutes to reflect on life and enjoy the cool mountain air. We also found time for some light hiking, swimming, paddle boating, canoeing and scenic drives. Another great thing about this property's central location, we were able to plan a stop back for our meals there between activities keeping dining costs down. Do as we did: prepare a few make ahead meals to simply heat and eat. Friday night, the seafood buffet with live bluegrass music at Aunt Sue's. Can't say enough good about the owner and our contacts, the condition of the property and the description of it and the area. Overall I've had great experiences with HomeAway or VRBO properties but have to list this property among the best. I'm hoping this property is available the next time we return to this area and have already mentioned it to family and friends.

The cabin had everything we needed and minimal steps made entry fairly easy for a family member who uses a walker. Thank you, John!

Our church group used this beautiful cabin for a weekend away. We were 10 minutes from the hiker's paradise of Table Rock State Park. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for our group. My favorite part of the house is the large window from the dining area that overlooks the river. Members of our group caught brim and trout from the backyard river and the Eastatoe River, just minutes away. I highly recommend this little get-away for a perfect time away.
