1 minute walk to beach. Spacious 2000 square foot 2nd row beach rental on Topsail Island in Surf City. Edge of the Sand sleeps 1-10 people with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths.
Enjoy the ocean view from the upper deck or relax on the lower deck when you need a break from the sun. The house works great for families with children. There is a door to shut off the staircase from the upstairs and two dens, one upstairs and one downstairs.
The first level features a den furnished with a sofa and two chairs providing plenty of sitting room. A flat screen TV and a game table and several board games. Four people can sleep in the den utilizing the queen Murphy bed and the full size Murphy bed.
A large primary suite with a king size bed, flat screen TV and private bath with tile rain head shower and granite counter top is on the first level along with a laundry room with washer and dryer

The second level features an open concept great room with lots of seating, flat screen TV and views of the ocean from second level. Well stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, a breakfast bar with 4 bar stools plus a table with seating for six.
Two bedrooms containing queen size beds and smart TVs are located on the second level. A full bath with tile shower and granite vanity is located across the hall from the two bedrooms.
Beach access is conveniently located directly across the street. There is an enclosed outside shower with both hot and cold water for you to rinse off the sand. Please note that the outside shower is turned off during the winter months (November - April) due to the possibility of outside freezing temperatures. TV and high-speed wireless internet are provided for the time you spend indoors. There is key-less entry to avoid the hassle of “checking in” or getting “locked out”.
Surf City, NC is a nice, quiet family beach town located on Topsail Island. You will find sandy beaches, various water activities, a pier, fishing, boat access, fish markets, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, surf shops, gift shops, etc. You can rent boats, wave runners, paddle boards, surfboards, bicycles, kayaks and any other beach equipment you may need at several locations on the island.
At Edge of the Sand you can enjoy the peace and quiet of being away from it all yet are still just minutes from shopping, dining and other activities. You can escape the overcrowded beaches with all of the high-rise hotels, but still be close enough to the city to enjoy all the amenities that it offers. Wilmington is just 35 minutes away and offers many fine restaurants and shops, along with an international airport (ILM). This North Carolina Coastal paradise has something for everyone.
You will be renting directly from the owner, not a rental agency. We are committed to making sure you have a wonderful vacation experience and want you to leave our home wanting to return again next year.

House Rules
-Check-in - 3:00 p.m. Check-out - 10:00 a.m.
-NO SMOKING INDOORS Guest caught smoking or leaving evidence of smoking in the property will lose all of security deposit and you will be asked to leave the house
-No Pets Allowed – Sorry. We have a NO PET policy. Pets are NOT allowed inside or outside unit.
-Family Groups Only. Guest renting the property and/or signing the agreement must be at least 25 years of age and actually assume possession of the property. Identification must be presented if requested.
Maximum Capacity - 10 people. Occupancy by more than 10 people will result in loss of security deposit.
-Cleaning is mandatory is performed after you depart the property. When you arrive at the property the day of check-in if the property is not properly cleaned, please call. The cleaning service will be sent to the house to resolve the problem. Failure to contact us immediately after checking in revokes the offer of a cleaning service sent to the house.
- Deck and Deck Furniture - ROLL UMBRELLA DOWN AT NIGHT. No grilling permitted on the decks.
- Maintenance/Repairs Requests - If it is necessary to request maintenance on an item, broken or not functioning properly call. If any maintenance/repair work is needed during your stay you will be notified.
- Noise - Keep the noise level low and respectful of the neighbors. Loud parties and/or music are not permitted.
- Damage to Property You will be held responsible for any damage to the house, its contents, and property.
- Mandatory Evacuations - If State or Local authorities order a mandatory evacuation of any area that includes the Property, guest shall comply with the order and evacuate the Property upon being notified (you need to take all of your possessions-including all food) with you since re-entry cannot be guaranteed. Please note that guest will not be entitled to a refund and should consider purchasing vacation insurance to protect them from the loss if this may occur.
- Departure Instructions - You are responsible for washing and putting away dishes, making beds, and taking out all garbage and placing it in the outside Trash and Recycling cans. If your stay is over a Sunday night, place the outside trash and recycling cans 2 feet from the road on Sunday night. Trash pickup is very early Monday morning. After your departure, should additional cleaning by the cleaning service be necessary, the additional cost incurred will be deducted from your security deposit.
Must cancel in writing and must be 60 days before start of rental. Cancellation will be subject to a $100 service fee. No refund for cancellations within 60 days of rental.

Topsail beach house
Nice 3 bedroom house with plenty of room. Interior & exterior has a nice personal touch. Beach is just across the street and up & down the stairs. South shore drive can be busy so be careful crossing.

Fantastic beach house right across beach road.
This property had great modern updates and was clean as a whistle. The property owner was fantastic and you can tell they put a lot of pride and joy behind their home. Couldn't have picked a better spot for a reasonable price and incredibly close beach access!

Surf City Stunner!
We had a fabulous vacation at Edge of the Sand and will definitely be returning. We have rented several oceanfront properties at Topsail and we were a little nervous to rent a "second row" property, but we immediately changed our minds upon arriving at Edge of the Sand. The home is gorgeous, inside and out, and the beach access is directly across the street, making it very safe for our older children to walk over by themselves. The ocean view from the second floor is great! Everything in the home was clean, well appointed, and so cozy. We've rented homes where we we've needed to venture out to the store daily to purchase basics such as food storage containers, plastic pitchers, corkscrews, can openers, etc. and that was certainly not an issue with this home. The kitchen was by far the most well-stocked we've rented. The beds were all so comfortable and we appreciated having many extra pillows, blankets, and plentiful towels provided by the linen service. Lastly, the owner (Ginger) was extremely helpful and accommodating. It's clear that she's put much thought and attention to the details in the home. By far, the best home we've ever rented in Topsail!
