Enjoy the world-class amenities of Wild Dunes Resort, just minutes from historic Charleston, from our enchanting "Sand Dune" house. This house, sitting high on a sand dune, boast one of the highest elevations on the resort, giving "peak a boo" ocean views from the front and golf course views from the back. The Pelican Reach neighborhood, with its own pool, is less than a five-minute walk to the water's edge. This neighborhood is known for it's nice quiet wide streets. We have also added a free golf cart with each rental to make it even easier to get around the resort!
When asked to describe the house, the interior designer had these adjectives to say - fun, funky, upscale, nautical, retro, bright, beachy, and comfortable. Wow! Where do we start?
Built in the traditional beach style, a flight of stairs takes you to the lower-level porch. This is where the kids will go to escape the adults, who will surely have commandeered the upstairs porch. The front door opens to the lower-level bedrooms. The master has a King-size bed, with a luxurious feather bed, a private bath, and opens to the shady screened rear porch (complete with several rocking chairs - perfect for a quiet get away) The other two downstairs rooms are also furnished with queen-size feather beds and share a bath. One of these bedrooms opens to that same shady screened porch.
Taking the stairs to the upper level, you are immediately struck by the windows, the light, and all the fantastic views. The open living area features a dining table for eight, a seating area for TV viewing (with a queen-size sleeper sofa), a game table, and a reading nook. The darling kitchen comes complete with everything needed by the chef, whether you are feeding your family or entertaining friends. A bedroom with two twin feather beds and a full bath complete the upper level. Except for the porch.
The high, airy porch gives you a bird's eye view of Wild Dunes. By night the sounds of waves crashing on the shore soothe even the most frayed of nerves, but the sunrises are particularly spectacular! This large, screened porch features a wicker pub table with four chairs and a comfortable lounging area with wicker loveseat and rockers - all decorated with high-end designer outdoor fabrics. It will be hard to leave this wonderful space!
We have tried to provide everything we could think of. We offer high speed WIFI web access for those people that don't want to feel too "out of touch". We hope you'll consider us for your Carolina low-country vacation!

While Beth Keetch handles all of the booking and inquiries for this great Pelican Reach house, the owner is living, working, and playing in sunny Florida. Leslie (the owner) takes a very hands on approach to her house as this is not her first rodeo in Wild Dunes. Her first property was an Ocean Club condo (located on the northern-most tip of the resort). After years of condo ownership, she opted for her private house in Pelican Reach. Leslie and Bob (her husband) and their yellow Lab, Deuce, get up to Wild Dunes every chance they get to check on the house and make sure that her guest are getting the best experience possible. While Leslie and Bob are counting plates and wine glasses, Duece is counting the doggy towels piled by the front door to make sure his four-legged service dog guests are just as satisfied as their two legged guests.

My family enjoyed our Thanksgiving week away at this home! The kitchen was well stocked with pans and cooking tools which made the holiday week easy as we spent much time in the kitchen. The rest of the home was lovingly decorated and comfortable for our group. The beds were excellent with toppers that made the bedroom retreats pleasing. Two recommendations that kept me from 5 stars were the towels and sheets in bathrooms and bedrooms were sour and needed to all be laundered. I'd recommend a rethink on guests placing items in the wash when they leave as they might be sitting too long to be fresh when the cleaners arrive. And, a good sharpening on all knives in the kitchen would be most excellent. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We come to this beautifully decorated beach house every year. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac. Walk across the street to a beautiful beach! House is comfortable with everything you need. Very clean and updated.

We had 6 adults, one 4 year old, 1 toddler, & 1 baby staying in the house. It most comfortable (temperature wise it was terrific) & spacious for all. The family thoroughly enjoyed all the room. The adults & little kids had a ball just enjoying themselves in such a bright & cheery house. It was very close to the beach & a very short walk to the pool, which was located just down the street. The pool was wonderful. Great for little kids. The entire Wild Dunes complex offered so much to do. My Family really loved the Isle of Palms experience. We found that everything we needed was located on the island & readily accessible. The House was well supplied with all the necessary kitchen supplies & appliances. Super! Everything worked great. The bathrooms were very good. There was plenty of hot water. Can't thank Beth Keetch enough for making our stay so pleasant & enjoyable. She was very responsive in answering my questions. A very positive experience in working with her. My Family gives our experience at the 43 Pelican Reach a thumb's up. We'd definitely come back.
