It is just a short two block walk to the beach and Grand Pavilion/Boardwalk area. This cottage boast the most inviting porch on Wild Dunes with a constant low-country marsh breeze.
Professionally decorated, the cottage has three bedrooms. The master has a queen with a feather bed, private bath and opens to porch that overlooks a lagoon and the golf course. The other two bedrooms share a bath. One guest room has a queen with feather bed and the other guest room has two twin beds (also with featherbeds) and opens to an outside deck that leads down to the lagoon. All beds have luxury 300 count cotton sateen sheets. Just perfect when you've had too much fun in the sun!
The living room and dining room (with a table for six) look out to the fabulous porch and are decorated in bright happy colors. 48' flat screen TV is High Definition . They offer a cool retreat on summer days or a cozy place to curl up with a good book.
The kitchen, although small, boast all the utensils, appliances, and entertaining pieces you could ask for. All the serving pieces compliment the decor of this darling cottage.
Now for the porch (everyone's favorite!) It runs across the back of the cottage with a wicker dining table for four and the seating area has a loveseat, rocking chair, and chaise lounge. The black and white striped awning that surrounds the porch sets the mood for enjoying both morning coffee and evening cocktails with friends while relaxing with gentle island breezes. It is a favorite of all who stay here!
We offer a free four person golf cart to enjoy while you are at the house. It's a great way to get around and enjoy the resort!

Beth Keetch - My parents built this Twin Oaks Cottage in 1977 (Back then the resort name was Isle of Palms Beach and Racquet Club, which changed their name to Wild Dunes a few years later). It has been through many renovations over the years. You may note that if you decide to rent, you will be asked to send payment to Pappagallo Inc. Does that sound familiar to any baby boomers out there? My mom, Patsy Blanding, owned the Pappagallo Shop in Sumter SC for many many year. The beach house was the only thing we kept of the name when she decided to close the doors and just relax after over 40 years of being in the style business.

The property was clean. Good kitchen. Living room furniture could be updated, currently not comfortable. Bed was good and decor was good. Nice layout overall. Construction going on near by so we hear a lot of trucks. Great walking and biking. The beach is fantastic!

Decor is lovely and one of the best stocked kitchens I have encountered. Just the Isle of Palms experience we wanted! The owner and her assistant are so very kind!

Good stay at a conveniently located home. Wild Dunes is a great neighborhood, and this home has many of the conveniences you would want and need. Home is fully stocked, but some things are beginning to show their age. Washer and dryer are noisy and a little worse for the wear, but work. Kitchen is well stocked. Home is clean and although some of the carpets are stained, the home all in all is comfortable. The living room couch has long past its prime and is almost difficult to sit in, and difficult to get up from. The back deck is great, makes to house seem even bigger when doors are open. There was an issue with the back stairs we were not aware of, they seemed to be blocked off and looked a little unsafe. The golf cart issue was one main reason we wanted to stay at this location. We tried to use it one evening and the lights would not turn on, so any time after dusk renders the cart unsafe. Another time there was a mix up with someone else who keeps a cart there and the wrong cart was taken. This was not an issue, and the owner was very easy to deal with on this issue. The owner is very responsive. We had no issues with her and directions when using the house were very clear. Overall we had a great stay and with there being so few “pet friendly” homes, we would definitely consider using this property again.

We enjoyed our stay so much. We had an uninvited visitor that was fun to watch from the screened porch. Not one, but two alligators! I wouldn't recommend walking the dogs near the lagoon.
It was the best trip we have ever had at IOP and we've been visiting for more than 20 years!
I recommend this property unless you are thinking of staying a week that I want to book!

We loved staying at this property! The house was beautiful, very comfortable and exceeded our expectations at every level. Beth the property owner is awesome and is an amazing communicator. We are looking forward to booking this property again for our next vacation.
