Description

This is an absolutely delightful uplifting villa decorated with fun and the island in mind. Spacious, bright, and a short walk to the Shipyard Beach Club. Brightly painted with colorful walls and a friendly crab sculpture will greet you. A nautical theme is carried throughout via white, yellow, and paintings of boats. The kitchen is full of light with a red tiled floor, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, white cabinets and wall tiles, a large skylight and 2 types of coffee makers. The living room offers a wood-burning fireplace and queen size sleeper sofa with upgraded memory foam mattress and nautical themed chair. The dining area with beautiful wooden table looks out over the ponds and oaks. Renovated in December 2017 includes wood flooring and new bedroom set. The bedroom offers a king-sized bed, flat screen tv, private bath and walk in closet. There is a 2nd full guest bath next to laundry room. Outside, a large private shaded wrap-around deck also provides views of the ponds, oaks and the golf course for a very tranquil and peaceful setting. Closets are plentiful with a walk in, and secondary in the master bedroom , linen closets in master bath and hallway. The villa also has a full size washer and dryer.

Centrally located to the amenities of the Shipyard Planation, you will be within walking distance to the beach, community pool, and world renowned Van Der Meer Tennis Academy. However, you will be removed enough to enjoy sitting on the shady deck for coffee or reading without hearing any of the commotion.

If golf is your game, the Shipyard Planation golf course is part of the Heritage Collection which boasts 7 courses at 4 clubs. 3-nine hole courses are located within 1 mile of the condo. Mix and match 2 of the 3 to make your 18 holes different each time you play. The Heritage group offers packages that include rounds at Palmetto Hall, Oyster Reef and Port Royal as well as Shipyard. Or you can enjoy any of the 24 courses on the island.

This gated community has a paved bike and jogging trail throughout the 800 acres. Fishing is permitted in the ponds and lagoons with attention to the local wildlife.

We fell in love with Hilton Head Island our first time there and could not wait to go back. Coming from the hustle bustle of New York, this is the perfect place for us to relax and just enjoy being together as a family. We wanted a place that we could go year after year with our family and hopefully someday settle down. This is the perfect place.

Additional Location Information

Hilton Head Airport is the closest but most prefer Savannah international Airport located about 45 minutes away. Charleston is about 2 hours away and a great day trip. Savannah is close enough for a night out on the town or visiting the historical locations and ghost tours. Supermarkets are just outside the entrances for the family that enjoys having meals at home.

WHY THIS PROPERTY:

Hilton Head Island is an extremely popular place for families to spend their leisure time because of the weather, the golf, tennis, beaches, inland waterways that permit kayaking and dolphin sighting cruises. Our villa has a great deck and provides privacy and direct communing with nature. It is a very quiet villa where you are far enough away from the pool and the Van Der Meer Tennis center to avoid the sounds yet close enough to walk to both.
As off-island owners we provide a property management team that will provide all the info you will need to have a wonderful stay. Prior to your trip you will be given access passes at the gates and security codes fro the door to your vacation. Simply enter the code into your phone and you will have access without the worry of losing keys.

Policies
CHECK-IN TIME

Check-in time is 4:00 PM or after; please do not arrive before then as the property and its amenities may not be available prior. After hours check-in is available with prior notification, there is an after hours box located at the Palmetto Sands Office to the right of the front door of the entry to the building. Please note that all the bed linens and towels are provided for guests, there are no beach towels or beach chairs provided. Each property has a “starter supply” of paper towels (1 roll), tissue paper per bath (1 roll), one trash bag per container, 1 packet of dish soap (1 load of dishes) and 1 mini bar of soap per bathroom. These items are sufficient for one day and guest must purchase items as needed for the remainder of the stay. The staff at Palmetto Sands does not have an inventory of supplies as these items are provided by the cleaners upon the guest arrival. We also highly suggest bringing additional dishcloths, dish towels and hot pads/oven mitts to remove items from the oven.

CHECK-OUT TIME

Check-out time is 10AM or before, there will not be any refunds given for early check out or for no shows. Please secure the property prior to your leaving and return all keys to our office prior to 10am upon departure date. If items are left behind upon your departure a Palmetto Sands member will attempt to collect the item(s) on the behalf of the guest. The item will be sent from the Island Postal Center, the guest credit card will be charged the cost of shipping plus an additional cost of $20 for courier services.

GUEST WELCOME PACKETS, KEYS AND PASSES

Guest Welcome packets, plantation passes, and keys may be picked up at our office located at 22 New Orleans Road on Hilton Head Island. Guests may pick up the keys and check-in package at 4:00 PM or later on the day of check-in. If the property is available earlier on the day of check-in, the Palmetto Sands staff member will call the cell number provided by the guest on the reservation as soon as the property is available. Neither the check-in package nor the car passes are given until the property is ready for guest arrival, there are no exceptions. The keys must be returned to the Palmetto Sands office, if the keys are not returned to the Agent, a $75 charge will be made to the Guest’s credit card. During the guest stay if the guest incurs a lockout the guest will be charged $50 per trip and the charge will be made to the guest’s credit card on file.

DEPOSIT

A deposit equal to 50% of the base rental rate is required to confirm the reservation. Deposits can be paid by Master Card, Discover or Visa. Guest authorizes Palmetto Sands, LLC to place the rental deposit in an insured interest-bearing account in a South Carolina Bank. Guest understands and agrees that all interest earned will be retained by Palmetto Sands, LLC.

BALANCE

Payment by check, e-check or money order is required for the remaining balance and is due no later than 60 days prior to the “Check-In” date for your rental period. Checks are to be made out to Palmetto Sands, LLC and mailed to 22 New Orleans Road Suite 2, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. Upon paying the balance in full, a final receipt will be sent via email.

AGE REQUIREMENT

Guest represents, guest reserving and occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age. The person signing the contract must occupy the property the entire length of the reservation. Where this “Age Requirement” policy is violated and the majority of unrelated Guests occupying a home are found to be under 25 years of age they may be evicted and all monies paid will be forfeited.
Cancellation Policy
If a reservation is cancelled more than 90 days (for homes) or 60 days (for villas) before the arrival date, a cancellation fee of 5% of the total rental will be charged. If the cancellation occurs between 89 and 46 days from the arrival date the guest will forfeit the total deposit and the non-refundable reservation fee. If the cancellation is made 45 days or less from the arrival date the total rate, reservation fee & taxes will be forfeited. Changes in dates must be made at least 90 days before arrival date. Palmetto Sands LLC will not issue refunds or credits due to weather conditions. Travel insurance can be purchased for 6.95% of your total rental, and is recommended.
