This home is situated on MOUNTAIN ISLAND LAKE in Charlotte.

Enjoy the beauty of Mountain Island Lake in this furnished waterfront home.

This house has 3 private bedrooms, 2 semi-private bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and a crib. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The 3rd bedroom has a queen bed & a twin loft. There is a twin daybed in each of the semi-private bedrooms. Because you have to walk through them to access other room, I do not count them as full bedrooms, but they do have comfortable beds and I allow for the extra guests so I count the 2 rooms as 1 bedroom in the listing.

The house has 2 FULL baths, one in the master suite and one in the hall. There is also an OUTDOOR SHOWER with hot and cold water which is awesome after a day in the lake!

There are 2 living rooms with sofas, a bar area and a card or game table.

The open, well-lit, eat-in kitchen with center island is well equipped and open to one of the living rooms so you can be a part of the action even when you're cooking.

The sun room has a playroom for the children, a table and chairs, and amazing views of the lake.

This house is strictly NON SMOKING. Please smoke outside only and dispose of your cigarette garbage in appropriate containers.

Outside we offer a dock with table, chairs and benches, 2 swings over the water, children's play areas, an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a fire pit, etc. (Tree house and rope swing are not able to be used by tenants, sorry!)

Some pets considered with deposit.
Boat and/or water toys can be rented in addition to the house.

Mountain Island Lake - Charlotte's premier lake community. Partially located within the city limits of northwest Charlotte, Mountain Island Lake was created in 1924 with the building of the Mountain Island Hydroelectric Station. Fed by the Catawba River, Mountain Island Lake is the smallest of the three man-made lakes within Mecklenburg County, located between Lake Norman to the north and Lake Wylie to the south. The lake is approximately 3,281 acres and has a little over 61 miles of shoreline. Full pond elevation is 647.5 feet.
The primary function of Mountain Island Lake is to provide drinking water for residents of Mecklenburg and Gaston counties, creating a closely monitored water supply. This typically means a clean and clear water supply that makes it a popular, publicly accessible lake for boating, sking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, multiple water sports and leisure time. Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy is in accordance with NCVRA 42A-36, and Article 36A of Chapter 14 or Article 1 of Chapter 166A of the General Statutes of North Carolina and is included on our rental agreement.

Should Tenant have to cancel for any reason, the Tenant must notify the Owner immediately in writing via email. Tenant acknowledges that cancellation by the Tenant does not relieve the Tenant from the specific terms of the Agreement. However, the Owner will make every effort to re-rent the Property for the specified period. If the Property is re-rented for the specified period, advanced rent payments will be refunded to the Tenant less a cancellation fee (up to 15% of the gross rental amount), less any discounts/expenses required to re-rent and less the Travel Insurance Premium

Failure to cancel in writing may result in charging the final payment to the Tenant's credit card.

If the Property is not re-rented, Tenant will not be entitled to reimbursement for any advance rent payment. The Owner will not be responsible for reimbursing for any fees that have already been paid out or are due a third party. The Tenant must seek reimbursement directly from the third party. The Tenant is responsible to verify that the cancellation notification has been received by the Owner.

Great property, but outstanding owner

It was an idealic vacation

The home was the perfect size for our family. We were in NC for our daughter's wedding. The dock was sunny but the deck was shaded by the trees so we had the best of all worlds. We are so happy we rented the kayak and the paddle board. We also bought a Pegasus blow up floater from Walmart. The kids (both young and old) loved the swings.
