Great place to vacation

9 of us spent a week at the Tatonka Lodge. Extremely comfortable spacious house. Everything we needed, large kitchen, dining area, family room and game room. From ages 17-23 all enjoyed the game room on a rainy day or late evening. From a hot tub, to a hammock at the house, to the llamas, buffalo, and other animals on the property every enjoyed the walk around the property. One thing to note, the lodge is at the top of hill, the driveway is steep and with some pavement and packed gravel. We used the lodge as a base, going to Asheville, to Bryson City to Sliding Rock to Max Patch. We went in all directions and had a blast. We would highly recommend.

Easter weekend

Wow, what a great place to spend with the family and friends. Tatonka Lodge and the whole property are just amazing. There is always something to do without ever leaving the ranch. From the minute you walk in, you can feel the love and devotion that went into building this place and keeping it well maintained. Bring yourself and extended family and get inspired.

Great Family Easter Weekend!

It was so awesome arriving at Tatonka! The cabin was big & spacious & plenty of room for our family & our friends that we met here. The kids all loved the gameroom & animals on the property. They also spent lots of time outside hiking to the playground that was just a short distance from the cabin. The adults loved the fire pit at night & hot tub time! We picked up farm fresh eggs & bison ribeyes from the Outpost down by the barn & they were delicious! Everyone agreed we will go back next year! Thanks to all of the owners that we met while we were there! Kim & Jeff

Great spring break!

We stayed at Tatonka Lodge as two families with 6 kids ranging from 6 mos to 11 years old for spring break. It was wonderful! The weather was gorgeous, the hiking along the blue ridge parkway was breathtaking. We spent a couple of days just exploring the property and enjoyed feeding the animals, playing at the playground and on the big tire swing, hiking to the picnic table and playing tetherball. The kids loved the game room. The amenities were complete as described, though I'm glad I brought my own pack and play and feeding chair. The infant/baby gear was in a jumble in the basement closet. We would definitely recommend staying at this lovely cabin, but be prepared for a steep driveway getting there!

Thank you Tatonka!!!

5 adults and 2 children ages (4 and 1.5) stayed for 4 days at Tatonka Logde towards the end of ski season. There was plenty activities for everyone to keep entertained and excellent Wifi to stay plugged into work emails if necessary. Any minor issue that arose, (Wifi going out or Hot Tub circuit breaker tripped) was quickly fixed by the owners brothers who actively worked the farm. Good response time from owner on questions/concerns. Great views from the balcony! Huge (6-8) person hot tub and game room, in working order. Air Hockey table could us more air...Playground was an easy walk, and the boys loved feeding the goats and miniature ponies. Maggie Valley ski slopes was an easy 30 minute drive away. The Blue Rooster is definitely a good place to grab some local cuisine. The gravel road to get to the house was adventurous, but we made it with out the use of 4 wheel drive. During snow season, the farm hands plow and clean the area to make it passable. We had a great time and will be back!
