Beautifully decorated, fully and I mean fully stocked kitchen. Homey comfort at its best. We had a fabulous time. We were early in the year and knew there was a chance we wouldn’t have great weather and Mother Nature didn’t let us down. We made the best of it and will certainly be back!! Thank you Eric and Melissa, you made this first time process for me very easy and seamless.

Great Expectations was better than we could have ever expected! When my kids were young we went to Emerald Isle for several vacations. Now that they are parents, I thought it would be fun to replicate the experience with their kids (and celebrate my birthday). I wanted the perfect house and luckily I found it! The house is perfect for my sons, their wives and my 5 energetic grandkids (ages 12, 8, 6, and 5). And what a week it was! We were able to relax with the beach just steps away and the pool out our back door. The house is in great shape, the perfect size for everyone, clean, and well equipped. We took the kids fishing on the sound, visited the Aquarium, played putt-putt and hit the water slides. Oh, and my son and I caught 4 large mackerel on a fishing excursion. We headed back to our homes in Ohio, Maryland, and Florida with smiles on our faces and great stories about our week.

This house is set up perfect. We had ages 7 to 89 year old and accommodated us all. Nice to have one bedroom on main level for elderly mother. Loved the combination inground pool (size was perfect for us) and beach. Kids never asked to go anywhere else for the entire week!! Everything was clean and well kept. We are already talking about coming back!!

Everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed this property. Mornings in the uncrowded ocean, afternoons in the pool and card games in the dining room. Our ages were: 2 in the 60's, 4 in the 40's, 14, 12, 8 and 3. Plenty of room if someone wanted to get away for a while. We ate in 4 nights and the kitchen was stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans and utensils we needed. Plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles and a boat. We had a minor problem with a circuit breaker and called the owners. Their response was excellent and the problem was resolved.
A great week. Would rent this property again.

This house was perfect for our family. We have small children (2.5 and 4.5 years old) and being on the beach and having the pool were ideal. The house is also situated at a great location on Emerald Isle, close to the EI shops but not too far from the Aquarium or the Morehead City and Beaufort restaurants. It is well appointed, with a large dining room table that could seat all 10 of us, and a comfortable living area. Great bedrooms and bathrooms, too. The owners are lovely and were super helpful in answering our questions about the house.
