Perfect place to reconnect, celebrate & renew
When we first arrived at Fripp Island, on the way to the house, we encountered many deer who seemed "at home", comfortable... so comfortable in fact that they often lay down very close to the road so please use caution! We noted right away the large windows at the back of the home. Just you wait to see the view of the ocean while you standing anywhere on the main floor. Stunning! The kitchen is beautiful and with every pot/pan/dish you could hope to need, even a rice cooker. The dining room table...well it's beautiful. Even as I write this review, I recall all 11 of my family members sitting at that table, no phones, no distractions, sitting to eat together after prayer. The living area is perfection. Each chair and couch is remarkably comfortable and cozy. A large TV with DVD player, a few DVD's and board games are thoughtfully included in the main media area. Make your way down the hallway to find two ocean view rooms on the right with a jack and jill bathroom, two rooms on the left and a separate bathroom. Up the stairs you go to find the master suite and oh let me tell you it should be called master. It's huge. When you first get up the stairs, you have a small area separate from the room with two large doors. This room has a sleeper sofa, chairs and a TV. Our daughter said it was comfy. The master room is very large, king bed I believe, TV, tall dresser, mini fridge/bar, coffee pot, sink and huge bathroom with the biggest tub - yes you can both get in! Closets to the left and right and his and her vanity/sinks. Ladies there is a chair in there for you - another thoughtful touch. A large washer and dryer are in the closet to the left. There was laundry soap in there but I had already brought my own. Large shower separate from the tub is also in there. Both the attached room and master suite have fans. That's a huge deal to me so just wanted to mention. Now go out your door in the master suite to your private porch. Look to your left and climb the spiral staircase and star gaze!! This home is beautiful and charming; the best of an ocean front home. The beach is amazing! Gather your family and stay here to reconnect, renew, breathe... and if you have something to celebrate, a new Marine for example, this IS the home for you! We loved it! Pick up some groceries, cooking essentials...relax, take it all in and enjoy! Thank you Berta for a wonderful experience! We may not have another Marine but we want to return!
