Great home for a family gathering!! So many options for gathering or to get away with a book, from welcoming front porch w/ rocking chairs to the awesome screened in back porch. And plenty of options for playing board or card games!

This is our second year at the house. It is well appointed, very comfortable. Love the location. I must say we really missed the hammock for reading! Hopefully next year.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It was the nicest and cleanest vacation rental that we have ever stayed at. It was spotless and well equipped. I appreciated everything being on one level as we brought my elderly parents with us and there were very few steps to contend with. We loved the screened porch and gas grill. Super short walk to the beach. Our trip was cut short due to Hurricane Florence but we quickly received a refund for unused nights. We are already planning a trip back in May of next year and will rent his house again!

Location and convenience was great. Overall experience was very good and we would recommend the property to friends. The layout of the home was excellent and it was very clean.
Unfortunately one evening the guests at the property next door decided to party on their back porch until 3 am and kept everyone awake in our house as they shouted and screamed. We called property management the next morning and they informed us to call if it should happen again after 10 pm and they would send someone out. Also, every morning at 8:00 am large trucks started arriving to do maintenance and yard work at surrounding homes - blowers, skill saws, mowers, garbage trucks - every morning. We know that work has to be done but it was frustrating that it was so early every day. This is the one thing that would really affect our decision to stay in Wild Dunes again.

The home was comfortable and very close to the beach. The beach was spacious and the water was warm over the Memorial Day week. The communication with the landlord was easy and efficient. The landlord provided a list of restaurants and contacts for excursions which was much appreciated.
The kitchen was well equipped and a grill was provided. A few small/medium Tupperware bowls would be appreciated to hold leftovers. There were plenty of large bowls.
This is a small item but a major inconvenience. There were no small soaps in the bathrooms. My family flew in on a Saturday evening. We didn't plan on going to the store until the next day. It was late in the evening when we realized that while liquid hand soap was provided shower bar soap was not. I have never stayed in a rental home that didn't provide small bar soaps so I don't know if this was an oversight of the cleaning team. Another suggestion is to provide more than one hair dryer. The ladies were waiting to use the one hair dryer at the end of the day.
Overall, I recommend the house. The location is great and it is a comfortable home. A few tweaks would make it all the nicer.
