Serene cottage on pond

This was our first time to South Carolina. The Garris cottage on Kiawah far and away exceeded our expectations. It is lovingly cared for with amenities of a well established home - while retaining a rustic proximity to nature that brought us to Kiawah in the first place. The pond just beyond the sliding glass doors was a flight path for many birds - even when the temperature was generally in the 50s. The cottage is removed from the mainstream, which we enjoyed -- and the walk to the extensive beach is an easy 5 minutes. Ann and Hollis provided a list of things to do and places to eat, which we used in exploring the islands and a bit of Charleston. We especially enjoyed the Tomato Patch (where, along with dinner, we also picked up a few frozen meals and basic provisions) and the Fat Hen. We recommend this without reservation.

Like being Home

We can't say enough about this cottage. We booked in here between selling one house and closing on a new house. With all that was going on, we really appreciated the care and concern shown to us as guests. This cottage is truly comfortable and fully equiped. The decor is beautiful and the amenities complete. We especially enjoyed the deck and watching the birds and fish. The view is completely entertaining. Most importantly, the bed was terrific! We will stay again sometime.

Great place to stay on Kiawah!

We've been going to Kiawah for 25 years. We have stayed at 1223 Pine Siskin Cottage many times. It's always perfectly clean and comfortable; our Kiawah home away from home. The owners are very helpful. We'll be back again in April this year!

Soooo relaxing

We just got back from our first visit to Kiawah. Rented bikes and expected to spend a good bit of time in Charleston, but this cottage was so seculded and relaxing, that we spent most of the week watching birds and the lagoon in the back, cooking meals in this great kitchen, and getting a good nights rest on comfortable beds.
