There were 8 adults and a 2 year old. The house was perfect for us. The view of the ocean was spectacular. There was easy access to the beach for the morning beach time, then a pool for the mid afternoon swim and back to the beach after dinner. It was an easy walk to Haley’s Ice Cream (yummy) on the beach (or drive). For the night you want to eat out out The Dock House served excellent seafood. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a really good time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Contentment on the Beach. Reservation was easy and the owners communicated with us regularly and effectively, prior to arrival, to answer all of our questions. They also sent us information about local events that would occur during our stay. The house was nicely decorated and it had the best equipped kitchen we've ever had in a beach house. Plenty of seating on the porches and around the pool; we really liked the rocking chairs. We enjoyed the new pool and the design of having a submerged shelf around the pool was especially nice for the grandkids. The property was very clean and everything was in good shape. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom configuration worked well for us as we used the bedrooms that didn't have baths as rooms for the grandkids. Access to the beach was easy and the beach was well maintained and not crowded. Bottom line - it was a great place to have our vacation with the extended family.

Our family had a wonderful week at Contentment on the Beach. Everything was lovely-- easy to get right out onto the beach and of course, wonderful views. The pool was not huge but is very well done and perfect for our family of 10; with two toddlers we were very pleased with the gates/safety. The kitchen was well-appointed and the living area very comfortable and lacking for nothing. The owners were also helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. Do pay attention to the listing's description of the bathrooms but as long as the setup works for your family/group, I can't imagine a more lovely home for a Holden Beach vacation.

words are not sufficient you really need to experience contentment on the beach our second time! home is extraordinary everything needed to relax and now beth and bill added a pool! not only do you have the oceanfront sand and sun when too windy you have pool time! so relaxing whole family goes plenty of room and many sad faces when its time to leave but many happy memories thanks hope to be back next year

Enjoyable week at Holden for our multigenerational family vacation. Clean and comfortable with well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds make for a good nights sleep. Great beachfront location. Heated pool was enjoyed by the kids! The owners are very responsive and attentive. Home is accurate to description and pictures.
