Best Vacation Ever!

We stayed here last week (June 26-July 3,2010). It was our first time to the Outer Banks and The Salty Pause is everything it's described to be and MORE! Pictures simply cannot capture the feeling of tranquility this house provides. And the LOCATION! I think we had better views of the ocean than some of the oceanfront homes and access to the beach was just steps away! The owners were very pleasant and so helpful. There was plenty for our three kids to do and enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Excellent Family Beach Home

My family of 7 and 3 pups couldn't be more pleased with our visit to the Salty Pause. The home provided everything as advertised, was very clean, had a wonderfully equipped kitchen and outdoor gas grill (we cooked dinner almost every night). It is close to Harris Teeter for groceries/beer/wine, and wonderful steamed or fresh seafood called Dockside North Seafood Market was a short trip up the coast for excellent seafood steamed and ready to serve. The rental management company answered all of my questions quickly and the payment website was very convenient. We spent most days on the beach and enjoyed many of the beach chairs, games, etc. provided by the Salty Pause homeowners. I plan to recommend the Salty Pause to friends and family looking for a home-away-from home in Corolla.

Great family home

Salty Pause is just as advertized. We have rented homes in various states over the years and this was one of the best in terms of comfort and location. Dan (the owner) was extremely helpful providing links to area restaurants, sight seeing etc. We loved seeing dolphins in the ocean each day along with the pelicans. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy their lives for a week or so

lovin it here

Please tell Rudy we are indeed enjoying our time at Salty Pause-though it has been a bit hot upstairs, it is nice and cool downstairs and we have found that opening the doors and windows leads to lovely cool breezes. The new tile and cork floors are really nice, and that big TV is awesome! It is especially nice that the decks are not accessible from below, so it feels secure to leave doors open in the evening and not be bothered. So much great deck furniture-I am loving the rocker just outside the king bedroom door for morning coffee and bird watching. Everything is very clean and nice-bathrooms look new, dishes and glasses for everything, plenty of room to spread out and nice comfy beds make your place a delight! Thanks so much for our time here-wish we could have brought the dogs, but they are home guarding the house. Rode up the beach in our son's 4x4 Jeep today and saw the wild ponies, just a short drive up the beach. We really could not ask for more----

enjoy every minute of our vacation there

We have been staying at The Salty Pause for over 10 years and enjoy every minute of our vacation there. Mornings on the deck with coffee are the best and evenings with a glass of wine are even better. We love the changes and improvements that are made each year and look forward to seeing what is new and different (love the new hard wood floors!) Thanks for a great Beach house!
