Cozy cabin with delightful owners
The listing for Indian Creek Cabin was spot on - it was a cozy little getaway home tucked away in the shadow of Hanging Rock mountain. It was spotless upon arrival and spacious enough for my friends and me. Every piece of furniture was comfortable, including the big couch on which I chose to sleep. The kitchenette was stocked with brand new appliances and all of the implements you might need (pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silver, coffee maker, etc.), and our hosts had stocked the bathroom with fresh linens.
The front porch was roomy and featured several chairs and a swing for lazy evenings or mornings. The back porch was also quite spacious - we sat at the table here to have breakfast. Kirk and Lynne have also equipped the cabin with a grill, which rests along its left side. The grill is propane-powered and worked splendidly.
Speaking of Kirk and Lynne, they were most attentive and helpful. Kirk called me a few days ahead of our stay to inquire about any special needs we might have, as well as to give us some logistical details. Lynne caught us on our first morning as she was leaving to go on a hike. She gave us some great insider information about Hanging Rock State Park, the best outfitters for tubing, and the local bar joints. Overall, they were fantastic hosts.
I would definitely recommended to friends, family, and anyone else a stay at Indian Creek Cabin. I will certainly be returning, if only to take advantage of the fireplace and fire pit out back...
