We absolutely loved the Gilie's Cove Cabin! This is the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in and we are very particular about cleanliness. The atmosphere of this home is so relaxing and the sounds of the Tusquittee Creek right on the property are very soothing. We brought our grilling grate and cooked over the fire pit almost every night. They did have a new and clean gas grill, but my husband enjoys cooking over an open fire. The rooms of the cabin are very spacious and the owners provided thoughtful touches through out the home before our arrival. Who doesn't love fresh flowers and cupcakes? All of the linens, kitchenware and appliances were clean and in excellent condition. The community surrounding the cabin had the most beautiful scenery we have seen in NC or Northern GA. There are beautiful grass covered valleys with mountains surrounding them around almost every bend. There are geese in the pond near the home and we could hear them calling in the morning and evening (we love geese!!) The fishing at Fires Creek about 25 minutes from the cabin was out of this world! My fly-fishing husband limited out in 2 hours on the first day up there with most trout ranging in size between 10 to 13 inches long! He fished in the catch and keep section of the river and went back daily. There are plenty of places for non-fishing folk to play in the water or sit back in your lawn chair to read at Fires Creek too. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby towns such as Hayesville, NC; Franklin, NC; Hiawassee, GA and Helen, GA. We also went gem mining and horseback riding and had a wonderful time overall. This is a cabin worth coming back to and we will be back again soon!! Thank you, Linda and Jorge!!

Paradise found! If you need to escape the hectic and stressful pressures of this the world, Gili's Cove Cottage is just what the Doctor ordered! Just returned from a nine-night stay and didn't want to return home. Linda and Jorge treated us like family! You can have days of adventure or peace and quiet. You decide... ❤️❤️

We truly enjoyed our stay! We had 2 adults, 2 teen girls, 2 preteen boys and 2 dogs. I can tell you that each and everyone of us went home happy. The boys stayed in the creek the entire time except to get out and fish a little. My husband and I fished and enjoyed the grilling and cooking for the kiddos. The girls enjoyed the cottage mostly and their peace and quiet from the boys. At night we made a campfire and made Smores. The cottage was very tidy and large enough for all of us to fit comfortably. We will visit again.

We had visited this beautiful property before, but this time we brought our 4 grandkids with us (ages 4-8). The Gonzalez's are thoughtful and kind hosts. We hiked, fished and made a fire in firepit next to the creek and had smores. The property is safe for kids so we had no worries for the kids to be outside playing. The kids were asking all the way home when we could go back again. We will definitely return (hopefully very soon. A great time was had by ALL!
