Peaceful and Tranquil - In the woods/meadow/stream, all of the above

I have stayed at many rentals and I sincerely believe this is my favorite. Linda was the consummate guest ensuring all details were handled, communication was plentiful, and no surprises. Even the beautiful snowfall that fell the day we were to arrive, she made sure we knew and had already cleared the drive.

We needed a peaceful place to unwind, you won't find one better. Quiet walks through the woods, in the fields watching the cows, along the stream watching the water, and driving around enjoying the area. All was just what the doctor ordered.

The place was immaculate and had anything you could possibly need. Maps, brochures and personal pages on what to do and see were all provided. And, if you really want to be entertained, try the local "private" Tusquittee Tavern nearby. It's eclectic, interesting and entertaining.

We are definitely returning!

Awesome.....simply the best!!!!!!

Turn the corner and you are in a magical place.........God's beauty at it's best!!!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......this was the most beautiful fall view I have seen in a very long long time. The fall colors were just perfect and we enjoyed our stay even though it rained most of the time. How could you not??

First let me state that Linda and Jorge are two of the nicest rental owners we have come across. Very accommodating with all things. Speaking with Linda before we came, she said just bring your clothes and your food. You will need nothing else. Well, me being me, I packed everything, including my own towels, sheets, kitchen items, laundry soap, etc....and I didn't need any of it. There was even coffee and tea and a very nice fruit basket, a welcome packet, a thoughtful gift that was unexpected and even treats for the "girls". The cottage was extremely roomy and clean, clean, clean. Immaculate!!!!!! ....you seriously could eat off the floors. Just beautiful, down to the fresh flowers in the little vases in the bathrooms. And the bed.....aaahhhh.....so comfortable and the plush towels. We even had "dog" towels there to dry off the "girls" ..(of course, I packed those too)..haha.. Linda thought of everything.

The view is absolutely gorgeous and the "glass" porch overlooking the creek was just the homiest with the fire stove. The walks we took were sooo relaxing and just what we needed. We set up the hammock and just relaxed on the couple of occasions it didn't rain and got to watch a plane do a few tricks and landings while there. I would recommend this place to everyone!!!! And please, don't over pack.....you won't need to.

Thank you Linda and Jorge for everything. Thanks for making us feel so welcome and for being such wonderful dog loving people and understanding that they are part of our family!!!!!! We hope to see you again.

Perfect location, outstanding rental

This was one of the very best rental experiences that we have ever had. My family of five stayed for five days over New Years' and my only complaint is that we could not stay longer. The location of this home is perfect if, like us, you prefer a quieter area in the "real" mountains away from the crowds. The Tusquitee area is a small, rural community of small mountain farms and vacation cabins, surrounded by national forest land, tucked away in the hills some ten to fifteen miles from the town of Hayesville. The scenery is gorgeous, typical of the southern mountains. Tusquittee Creek (really a small river) is steps outside the back door and just beyond that a beautiful small mountain pond. Canoeing, fishing, and plenty of hiking opportunities are at your fingertips. The house itself is immaculate, clean, neat and orderly with everything that you could want to feel at home. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and found every type of kitchen utensil and cooking apparatus that we needed. I just hate that our kitchen at home is not as well organized and supplied! Games and books are found throughout the house for guests use; there is a nice TV with DirectTv and streaming service; a wonderful porch with gas fireplace and great view of the creek. A perfect place for relaxing with a good book or newspaper. (Well, at least I would imagine it would be if you did not have three rugrats to chase around like us). A nice gas grill and fire pit are in the backyard , both of which we also used. Most of all, the owners Linda and Jorge are great hosts. Their own house is just a couple of doors down so they are readily available if anything is needed but not obtrusive in the least. Linda provided clear communication about check in, check out etc and offered lots of information about things to do and see in the area. Linda and Jorge obviously take great pride in their property and that is reflected in the cleanliness of the house (a big deal to my wife - she is very particular about cleanliness and she commented several times during our stay about the immaculate condition of the home). The pictures do not do this home justice. We highly recommend it and just hope that it does not become so popular that we are unable to book our stay for next year!

The Best Getaway to Clear Your Mind

This was our second time staying here with our dog Daisy. Once again, Linda and Jorge knocked it out of the park! They have even made many upgrades since our last stay! They go out of their way to meet any need, and on top of it all, the place is spotless. Plus, they treat Daisy just like she is a puppy of their own! Their friendly, warm personalities, and the many accommodations are what truly make this cabin a "Home Away from Home"! I'd recommend this place to anyone who just wants to kick their feet up and relax, and get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life! Its a dream destination, and having it run by such enjoyable kind people are what makes it a once-in-a-lifetime find!

Dad's 88th Birthday

After an incredible stay in July we wanted to share this lovely home with my parents. Linda had birthday balloons and treats out on the table as the celebration began! This property is just as spectacular in November as July. I have stayed VRBO homes that have up to eight bedrooms and I must admit nothing can meet the cleanliness and peacefulness of this gem. The entire layout is on one floor. Absolutely no problem getting around for older folks. Relax and enjoy!!!
