Great Thanksgiving Week at Kindred Spirit

My family and I had the best experience at Kindred Spirit for Thanksgiving 2012. The house has all of the things you would need for a week away from home and much more. The amount of stuff there for small children from pack and play to toys and video games far exceeded any other beach rental property we have ever been to. We paid for the pool heat and that was an added bonus for the kids this late in the year with some help from Mother Nature late in the week. I would highly recommend this to any family or families that have small children and are looking for a very kid friendly beach rental.

Great place for kids!

We rented this house for a week in October. We were especially excited about the pool and the access to the beach since we have three children. It is the perfect place for kids. Everything that you could need is in the house. Although our kids are past the "baby stage", this house has everything a baby would need...a huge help when traveling with kids! The pool, the Xbox, the DVDs, and the fully equipped kitchen were huge for us. The house is well represented in the pictures and all discriptions were accurate. Debbie was readily available to answer questions through email or a quick phone call. When staying at this house, you are half way between Myrtle Beach and Wilmington. Both are fun day trips. We would recommend this house to anyone, but families with kids will be especially happy with the amenities at Kindred Spirit!

Blissful, relaxing stay on Kindred Spirit!

Our family booked a week-long trip at Kindred Spirit - the entire process from beginning to end was very easy. The homeowner was extremely responsive to all of our needs - even mid-week when the weather got a touch cool in September and we changed our mind about wanting the pool heated. A quick phone call and the homeowner got right on it and the pool was heated within the hour!

The home is perfect for families with children and is well-equipped with everything we needed for our two boys, who are 2 and 5. The pool is the perfect size - not too big for little ones, but not too small either. And with the beach just steps away, you don't have to worry about lugging everything out to the beach, which made for an extra relaxing stay! Our family enjoyed nightly strolls on the beach, including sea turtle and ghost crab sightings! For the one day that it rained during our trip, we took advantage of the game room and movies at the house.

Would highly recommend this homeowner and the home!

Highly Recommended!

This was one of the best houses we have stayed in! This was our first time to Holden Beach and it was a great place, very quiet and relaxing! The house was wonderful, fully stocked with everything you need and very clean. The pool was a great added bonus! Communication with the owners was very pleasant and all transactions all the way up until we left to go home were very easy and smooth. I would highly recommend this house!

"The Kindred Spirit in Holden Beach, NC.

We have stayed at many beach homes in Carolina and Kure Beaches over the past 10 years. This year someone reserved the house we had stayed at over the past couple years in Kure Beach for the week we wanted. We were forced to look for another house with the amenities we wanted which lead us to finding “The Kindred Spirit” in Holden Beach! I can only say that this was a blessing in disguise! From the moment we contacted Mrs. Anderson through VRBO about her home “The Kindred Spirit” in HB the experience was a pleasure.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Holden Beach, I highly recommend “The Kindred Spirit”. This was the nicest, cleanest and most well equipped home we have ever stayed at on vacation. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pool was wonderful, giving us something to do in the evening or just to get a break from the sand! The short walk to the beach up the steps and over the dunes was great! We could easily walk back to the house for a sandwich, use the rest room or simply take a break from the sun!

Holden Beach itself gets and A+ from us! Staying in Carolina and Kure Beaches in the past, we have seen them grow becoming more crowded and hotels going up year after year! One of the things I liked most about HB was that there were no high rise buildings anywhere on the island. The tallest thing to be seen is the water tower. This beach was truly relaxing and every local we met was super nice! HB had everything we were looking for and I wish I had discovered it years ago!

It is our goal to return to HB and “The Kindred Spirit” or Mrs. Anderson other home right next door (which I understand will also have a pool in 2013) “Changes in Latitude” next summer.
