Best North Carolina Beach House

We just finished our second year at Casa Verde and stayed 3 years at Pura Vida next door.
Our group of family and friends this year was 16 adults and 12 children ages 2-17. We are so spoiled with this owner and his beautiful homes.
The kitchen, living, dining area on the top floor has wonderful panoramic views of the ocean and lots of room to cook, eat, visit and relax.
The neighborhood is quiet even though situated close to a condo/resort. We sometimes get to see beach weddings at the resort.
The kids go from the beach to the pool to the theater and back again. There is lots of space for the kids to have fun and the adults to relax.
We had no issues of any kind this year. We have had minor issues in the past and they were addressed very quickly and efficiently.
I am very sad that we won't be in either of these houses on 2016 for various reasons but plan to be back in 2017.
I recommended this house for tourists without a car not because there are things to do in the area but because once in the house I don't want to leave.

Grand, beautiful and convenient

We had 26 people stay in this gorgeous beach house for one week and we had a fantastic time.

The upstairs kitchen and lounge area is the social hub where we ate and enjoyed the panoramic beach views. The elevator came in handy for the eldest member of our group (she's 86) and also for the shopping bags we brought up to the kitchen. The kitchen is thoughtfully designed with 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, a large coffee machine, loads of counter space and stools for chatting while cooking, 3 large dining tables, a half bathroom, loads of sitting area and not to mention the gorgeous deck with additional seating if you want to feel the breeze and sit in the sun.

It rained on the first day we arrived and the entertainment options in the house kept us perfectly content while we waited for the sun to shine - hot tub, cinema with Netflix, groups playing board games upstairs and the water in the Atlantic is so warm that some of us even swam in the ocean despite the rain! We then had perfect weather for the rest of the week - I highly recommend setting up deck chairs at the end of the board walk and spending the entire under the sun (or set up canopies). The great thing is the house is so close to the beach that if you need to get a snack or get anything it takes less than a minute and there is an outdoor shower that you can use to rinse off before stepping into the house. All the details are so well considered.

The bedrooms have their own bathroom and were super comfortable, clean and with enough space to put all our belongings. It's great having this option with so many people in the house especially since we were in the ocean and pool everyday - the hot water never ran out! My tip is families with small children that like to sleep early should take the rooms on the lower levels.

I would love to come back here. Very nicely done.

Wonderful family place

Our family (20 adults, 14 children) had an amazing beach week experience at Casa Verde. This was the first beach family reunion all in one house and everyone raved about the time together. The bedrooms with private baths were a big hit, proximity to the beach was great for the younger set and parents,as well as family members with mobility issues. The decks overlooking the beach, the sunrises, moon rises and the beautiful ocean were outstanding. Big and little folks enjoyed the sparkling pool, hot tub, billiard table and all other amenities. The owner, valet and maintenance person were always very helpful to answer questions and respond to needs. Casa Verde was great! We are definitely coming back.

Wonderful family home

Outstanding Beach house.which is brand new with spectacular views. Our family of 14 adults and 14 children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just a short walk over the sand dunes to the beach made it very easy for the little ones. The pool is large enough to accomodate many of the children at the same time.

The kitchen and large dining tables are perfect for a large group with all the seating. Great to have 2 dishwashers and 2 refrigerators right in the kitchen. The elevator is a big plus and makes it so easy to bring all your food and belongings to the upper floors.

The valet staff were very helpful in handling any questions and very responsive to any detail . The house is large enough so everyone can have their own space and still have great dinners and great times together.
