Over Three Months At Second Base

We stayed at Second Base from January 4th until April 13th...2014. What a wonderful "over" three months we had at Holden Beach. We wanted to escape the winter weather where we live and chose to stay at Second Base. When we arrived the home was more than we expected....it was very clean and had every amenity we needed. We especially enjoyed the sunroom as an area to get away and read or enjoy the large tv and watch movies. Many mornings we sat out on the back deck and watched the ocean and we also enjoyed the hammock on the sunny warm afternoons. The outside shower was a favorite! The layout of the home was great....kitchen had what we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable. We enjoyed having the washer and dryer in the master bedroom closet area....made it very convenient. There was plenty of outside furniture and having the bikes was great. The owners were absolutely wonderful to deal with....they made sure we were comfortable and everything was to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone that wants a quiet, relaxing vacation at Holden Beach. AND, we hope to visit Second Base again.......Thank You......:)

Great Vacation and House

My family and I had the opportunity to spend some time at Holden Beach at Second Base this summer. We were extremely pleased with the home and highly recommend it. The home was clean and tidy and offered a relaxed and comfy environment to spend time with the family. I loved the outdoor shower after a long day at the beach. The public access to the beach was a few minutes walk away and the public dock for fishing and crabbing in the Intercoastal was also a very short walk away. The owners were great to deal with as well. I hope we have the opportunity for many more trips to Holden and Second Base!

Second Base

Property was very clean and well maintained. We really liked the layout. We would definitely stay here again.

Great time at the beach

This is a great house for the week. We have 2 kids and it was perfect with lots of books to read. It is solid in the basics that it offers. Very easy walk to the beach with 2 little kids and toys. We really enjoyed our time here!

Great get a way

Superb home, very spacious and clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. My grandson rode the bike (furnished by the owners) over the island (he's 15) and found a small fishing dock 2 blocks from this home. He and my husband spent several hours fishing, watching the boats go by, etc. My granddaughters went to the beach while the guys fished. My husband enjoyed the sunroom, and reading while we were there. The beach was about 3 blocks from this home. The Holden pier was about 5 minutes away, however, the dock 2 blocks away, was perfect for just the view and fishing in the inlet. Well worth the money for a Holden Beach stay. The nicest family beach I have ever been to, looking forward to going back soon...
