My family had a great time while on vacation. We rented the pontoon and used it to explore the many islands and coves on the lake. Where we swam and splashed on the sandy beaches. The fishing wasn't bad either. We caught minnows and catfish from the dock, and bass while out in the canoe. The house was great with lots of room for our group of 7 to spread out. Thanks for a wonderful time!

We just returned from a wonderful weekend at Makin' Waves! I think this was the first time I've booked a vacation spot that the whole family liked, and I've been doing this for years (kids are 17, 21 and 24)!! There's something about this house that just makes you relax. We spent time riding around the lake on the pontoon boat (we loved that Renee and Troy had a boat available for rent - what a convenience and a lot of fun!), playing card games on the deck and just relaxing inside the house. We also enjoyed the big yard! My husband and I loved watching our children play like they were little kids, again --- throwing the baseball, playing hacky sack, and making up games with a big, orange bouncy ball we bought at the grocery store. We experienced quality family time in this tranquil setting! Also, Renee and Troy were so accommodating! The only problem with our trip was that it wasn't long enough!! We really hope to make it back to Makin' Waves for a longer stay!

This was exactly what we were looking for! Had a very relaxing time. The kids fished and swam from the dock. House was exactly as described. Renee was MORE than accommodating and always responded fast from the time of booking. I hope to be able to stay here again!!!

Very tranquil setting on beautiful Lake Hartwell (our first visit). The house is in a perfect location! A short boat ride to The Grill Man - A MUST for the most amazing pimento cheese bacon burger and fabulous desserts. Grocery stores are nearby as well. However, once you are at the house you feel totally secluded. It was a VERY relaxing and enjoyable weekend. We would definitely recommend Makin Waves! Thank you Renee and Troy for a fabulous weekend!

Myself and a couple guys travel around a few times a year participating in the striped bass tournament league. We're VERY weary of hotels and leaving our investments exposed to the public ... That's where VBRO comes in! This trip we came across Makin' Waves. It was in a great location to the weigh-in facility, boat ramps and bait store, not to mention an easy drive to town (Walmart etc). The parking was not great as I had to back my boat on the trailer down the driveway so I can plug it up an all that good stuff but I had a few spotters that helped. (But not everyone has to do that.) The house was perfect for what we needed it for; clean and well equipped. I'm sure it would be a super place for summer family vacations or a quick getaway.
